Started on the rear fill. Built some rings, aimed them to the rear view mirror and glued them in place. Cloth, resin and fiberglass. Test fit. Body filler and sanding. Need to add more filler, sand, filler, sand, etc. J.

Yes. Like Diogo said, when I finish the car (around 2011 I guess ) the only thing you will be able to see of the system is the HU. The rest will be hidden and look totally OEM. "WWDD" = "what would doitor do?" Now that's funny. J.

Thanks, D. It sounds really good. I only had time to run the auto tune one time and not much time to play with the eq, but I really like what the center did to the stage. I will play with rear fill soon to really hear what the Logic7 can do. J.

Quick update. P-01 out. JBL MS-8 with a Pioneer AVIC-X920BT in. I had some time to play yesterday, so I decided to shoehorn a 6.5" coaxial in the center of the dash. I got an Imagine 6.5" comp set and mounted it coax style. Here are some pics of the process. The Bose equiped cx-7 has a 3" mid in there, along with a display for the stock radio, AC and airbag. Screen out and the I6.5" looking at it's new home. Cutting some plastic Speaker fits just fine Quick Listening test before install. Baffle done After some paint. Speaker in. J.

She's finally playing music. Still a lot of work to get it done, but I can play with it while I finish it. J.

Top part of the dash is almost done. Covered in grill cloth with the dashmat on top. Need to clean and iron the dashmat but you get an idea of how it's going to look when done. J.

More work done on the dash. The original idea was to only mod the side parts, but decided to also do the center so that they all look the same. Plus I'll add some foam under the grills to tame down reflections. Wont waste your time with pics of how I did the other side, but this is how it looked when done. Some black paint. This is what I ended up with. J.

Had a couple of "wife/kids free" minutes last night so started working on the dash grills. I cut the top part of the dash in 3 pieces. The center part will be permanent in the car and the lateral ones are going to be modded and removable. So here's the passenger side of the top part of the dash taped. Here's what's left of it after a close encounter with a jigsaw and a Dremel. Got some hex shaped aluminum grill and shaped it to fit. Test fit. That's all I was able to do last night. I'll get this finished Sunday. J.

Felipe came over this past weekend and we managed to get a bunch of work done. Finished wiring the rack. Ran speaker wires. J.

Managed to work on the power/ground wiring of the rack yesterday. Re-routed the power wire. Cut the power wire to lenght and added the ground wire. Final lenght of the power wire: a bit under 5 feet. Final lenght of the ground wire: 10 inches. Both 0 gauge. 4 gauge power/ground wire to each amp. I need to get more techflex and heatshrink to properly terminate them. J.

La razon principal de usar los JL HD es por su relacion tamanio/potencia. Tuve la oportunidad de hacer pruebas con diferentes amplificadores antes de elegir los HD y con respecto a la calidad del sonido estan a la par de muchos otros, pero ninguno tiene la misma potencia en un tamanio tan compacto. Con respecto a lo de los RCA's, simplemente fue una idea que se me ocurrio para hacerlo diferente y mas organizado. El lugar de correr 8 cables separados, van todos en uno solo en un cable de buena calidad. Jorge. The main reason of using the JL HD amps is it's power/size ratio. I had the chance to test several brands of amplifiers before choosing the HD and as far as sound quality goes they are on par with a lot of the "big boys", but none other has the same amount of power in such a compact size. As far as the RCA's goes, the main idea was to make it "different" and organized. Instead of running a bunch of rca's, I just need one good quality cable. Jorge.

Yes. The StarQuad cable has 4 cables in the jacket, so I'll use one 4S8 (black one) for the midrange/tweeters and another one for the midbass using all 4 channels for each midbass. I'll use the 4S11 (gray one) for the subwoofer. J.
