[SMD]Extreme 15” Subwoofer Excursion Test - Incredible Open Air Bass Flex on a ton of power! SMDv3 Proto

[RobôAutoforum]

Don't forget to watch the FULL video and see this sub up close and personal. Only 2 ever made.

After pulling out the SMDv2 to clean the inside of the box out, I decided it was time to bust out the SMDv3 Proto's that I have had for years. There is only 2 of these ever produced. Unlike the SMDv1 and the v2, which were Ascendant Audio products, these were going to be a Fi product. Same build house, same owner and of course I am a long time fan and user of Fi products. These subs sat on the shelf for a long time as I described in the video. I thought giving them a proper logo and maybe using one of them would be fun. First, you know I had to bench test them. Wired to 1.4 ohms (d.7 in series), this sub took every bit of that SMD 8500.1D and didn't even break a sweat. I think these are the amps I will TRY to use. Everything you see here is subject to change as I work my way around the trunk.
